Hugh Jackman said he was really done playing the Wolverine character after Logan (2017)
Narrative
Deadpool is offered a place in the Marvel Cinematic Universe by a time-varying entity, but instead recruits a variant of Wolverine to save his universe from extinction. The Deadpool & The Wolverine crew talk about how they got around risque jokes, and Emma Corinne talks about working with nice guy megastars Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman. He later regretted that statement after seeing the first Deadpool movie and expressed his interest in seeing the two characters meet on the big screen to Ryan. When asked why he chose to return to the film, he simply replied, “I just wanted to do it and I felt it in my gut,” adding that he wanted to spend the best possible time on the set with Ryan Reynolds. Likewise, Reynolds had wanted to work with Jackman since the first Deadpool movie and was upset when he (Jackman) backed out of the role. As Wolverine and Deadpool make their odyssey in the Honda Odyssey, the car’s clock jumps forward three hours during their conversation.

They are actively promoting this film
There are a lot of fun cameos that I wasn’t expecting! I usually watch spoiler videos ahead of time, but I didn’t on this one, and I’m glad I didn’t because there were a few moments! It is a very good action and fun movie. Fox cracking jokes and talking on camera jokes are too funny. I definitely see more sequels to these two on the horizon. I just watched these two on Hot Ones eating chicken wings.
