I know it takes a lot of effort to make a movie and it takes a few minutes to write a review. Anyway, I wanted to write down my thoughts. I was really looking forward to this movie, Sean Baker’s other movie "Project Florida" I liked it. And I saw a few more.
The movie is too long for this story
"Anora" it has a good atmosphere, the actors do a good job, but the humor was repetitive for me, along with some scenes that I personally would have cut. I also found the Russians to be cartoonish, especially the evil mother. The first part is not bad, but the second, the "house" begins with the Armenian invasion; it was funny at first but then it got boring. The final scenes with Yura Borisov added depth to the characters and at least I started to feel something for them.
I feel the script could have been written/edited better
